Our Values

Embracing our mixed heritage New Zealand has to offer, our vision for Little Preschoolers is that with this heritage children are enabled to learn and develop from one another - Tuakana teina; the idea that the older children pass on their knowledge to the younger children. 

 

We value the importance of building strong, respectful and interactive relationships between our children, parents, caregivers, whanau and staff. 

 

Little Preschoolers attributes towards our teaching is inspired by New Zealands Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whariki, our acknowledgement of Tikanga Maori and Te Reo Maori is embraced into our daily practice. 

 

We follow the guidelines of:

• Ako: We learn together

• Manaakitanga: We respect everyone

• Whanaungatanga: We care for one another

• Tuakangateina: The tuakana has the knowledge to pass on to teina
